1Care Kids is a home-based, family oriented pediatric program servicing children and their families in Southern Nevada who are under the age of 21.
Our 1Care Kids Pediatric program serves three distinct populations of children: those with chronic or complex conditions who require palliative medicine, those with serious conditions such as a life-limiting illness, and those needing end-of-life care.
1Care Kids pediatric palliative care program provides support in the home for families whose children have an acute or chronic illness requiring intermittent nursing visits. Our nurses have extensive experience with complex medical regimens, including:
All Medicare and Medicaid Plans, including Medicare and Medicaid HMO plans cover the cost of palliative or end-of-life care at home with ZERO cost to the patient or families when the patient meets our admission criteria. Commercial Plans also cover Palliative or end-of-life care, however, each plan, each, plan has its own admission requirements and small co-payments, in some cases, 1Care Kids may wave copayments if a patient or family has a financial hardship.
A Child may qualify for the 1Care Kids pediatric palliative care or hospice programs if he/she:
Certified Medical Doctor who is Board Certified in Pediatric Care
Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy
Pediatric nurses and doctors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to answer any questions about your child’s care and can make after-hours visits for urgent needs.
